I’m forever grateful to those who came to my first book signing this past Friday July 22, 2016 at Indigo Bleu in Philadelphia, PA I had some very special visitors from a few folks I grew up with. I wasn’t nervous I was just pretty much open to the experience of my very first book signing. It’s not easy being transparent and to be able to share a deep emotional story, especially if it’s your own story. I healed in the process of writing my memoir and I learned so much about myself and can see who I am actually becoming and it’s phenomenal. For all those who haven’t had the chance to purchase a copy here’s your chance to download a copy for FREE kindle version A Rose Forever Thorned. Promo ends 7.29.16 (12AM EST.)
Check out a few photos below!
Lisa and I grew up together! And I’m glad she hung out for a bit with me at my very first signing.
Derrick and I also grew up together and he stopped by to show me some love.
My mentor, the woman who has taught me a lot these past 5 years. I have grown in so many ways because of her.
It’s been a minute since I’ve taken some pretty cool pictures and so this past Sunday I shared a sneak peek of my photo shoot from a few weeks ago and the people loved it. They loved it so it got me a feature on sositomaske.com. Sositomaske is curated by Philly artist Lindo Yes! who promotes black excellence through his lyrics, art and spoken word.
