What A Night!

On Friday April 6, 2018 I was blessed with another year around the sun and started out with lunch from Sals Seafood and a tasty coconut flavored gift given to me by my co-workers. I had no idea what I was going to get into for the weekend and the weather was perfect in the City. A friend of mine from New York was in town for the weekend and decided to kidnap me and take me on a ride around the City. For dinner I had Korean style fried sweet chili wings from Andy’s Chicken (Fishtown) sweet potato fries and some libations to start the night.

We buckled our seats to head out  journeyed around the City to hit up a few house parties and say Hello! to some friends. Later on that night I got to do exactly what I wanted to do for my birthday and I danced. We ended up at  Coda to see DJ Claptone  who stopped through Philly to give us a dose of good techno and house music that all people were dancing to. While enjoying the crowd the cup of water I had got smacked out of my hand and splashed me. Two ladies who witnessed helped to dry me off with tissue frpm the bar and I was so glad I was dressed lightly (thank God it was water and It instantly dried) and the gentleman who knocked the cup out of my hand offered to replace it with a drink (Nice guys still exist). Not too long after I was approached by this 6 foot 5 guy dressed in a black suit and black shades and he took my hand and led me to dance in the night.

After the show it was the after party and well ya know……..
What a night!

Next Great Talent

Director, Justin Douglas (Short Film 2014)

I’m so excited to announce that I will be apart of David E Talbert’s Next Great Talent   actor’s workshop and talent search in New York City October 15, 2016 all thanks to those who believe in me I will get to experience a dream of a lifetime. Also, Casting Director, Damien McKay  from Universal Pictures responsible for casting of Fast & Furious Fifty Shades of Grey (film) and Straight Outta Compton will be there to choose the Next Great Talent!. I can’t believe that I will have the chance to get some acting tips and perform a scene and monologue in front of a top Hollywood Casting Director.

Acting was on my mind for the near future yet not on my current list because my focus was on publishing my book, cooking in the studio writing songs and getting my personal life in order. When I was first asked if I wanted to go I didn’t know what to say but now that I’m actually going I want to give this day my all. The only expectation I have is to just experience this once in a lifetime opportunity and prove to myself that I can dream and watch them come true. Each year I find myself taking leap after leaps of faith and every time that I do there’s always that next level opportunity waiting for me. I know that this time next year my life is going to be totally different and better. All the seeds that I have sown I now get the chance to watch them grow. Who knows! I just may be the Next Great Talent…..

Keep an eye out for me!
