On Friday August 7, 2015 my journey to a new fresh start began.  I had other plans but life took me on another journey with an  even better plan. Each year I find myself taking leaps upon leaps of faith and the outcome always surprises me. I never knew what I was made of until I started believing in myself.  I stepped away from social media and writing  a bit just to take care of myself and really analyze things to make better choices for my present and my future. A lot of the things I wanted to do I couldn’t because of the atmosphere and the negativity that surrounded me. I’m not saying that anyone held me back it’s just that being a writer I needed peace and tranquility at times to get my creative juices flowing and it was being stifled. I’ve been stifled for many years because of the expectation of others of how, who and what I should and shouldn’t do. Being different and wanting better for yourself sometimes rubs people the wrong way because it’s a reminder to those who have no hope and no dreams.

My environment had to change in order for me to reach my full potential with my gifts.

I moved into a 1 bedroom studio apartment that I immediately fell in love with on the day it was shown. All I could see as I walked around the place that day was how I was going to “Funk” it out with my creative edge. Each day I make it my duty to look around at the walls and envision a wall for music, my love for mirrors and making the place cozy for guests when they stop by. There ain’t nothing but trees surrounding me and that makes the breeze flow through all my windows. Each month I will add a little of this and a little of that to make my place all the more special.

Buddy Love 8.7.15

As I sat and waited for my ride to come help me move my things  I opened the windows so Buddy Love and I could lay back and let the fresh breeze blow over us. Buddy couldn’t come with me so I told him that I love him and I’m going to miss my little “Stinky Boy” busting into my room on late nights wanting to cuddle up with his Mommy LOL. I actually saw him on yesterday but he was in the yard busy running after his wife (Ori) and my Grandpup Cookie that he missed me sneaking in to surprise him. He was walking buddy and exercise buddy when I would come home from work or take a quick stroll over the weekend to get some exercise. I grew up with dogs all my life and for the first time I don’t have a little monkey to chase around the house.
